Crestview Estates HOA board meeting minutes – May 12, 2015

Members present: President Roger Branch, Treasurer Bob McLaughlin, Secretary Tom Vermilye, and ARC member Danny Larson.

Meeting called to order by Roger Branch at 7:15pm.

Treasurer’s report – No new expenses since last report.

Discussion:

Proposed budget allowances for Annual Meeting - $150.00; Community picnic - $200.00

• Both amounts clarified on proposed budget for 2015.

The Board agreed to have a special expenditure vote at the annual meeting regarding the HOA purchasing a liability insurance policy in the amount of $783.00.

Discussion took place regarding the installation of some landscaping materials around the “Crest View” sign at the entrance to the neighborhood. The Board is going to price out some of the materials and we intend to do the work ourselves. The new landscaping will provide a weed barrier around the sign and it will protect our newly installed lighting.

Reminder!!! – Annual dues of $25.00 must be paid before or at the annual meeting on June 16, 2015; in order for members to vote at the meeting.

The Board set the agenda for the annual meeting that will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 7pm at Faith Baptist Church. A letter will go out to the community and the agenda and proposed amendment changes will be posted on the Crest View Estates website.

Refreshments and snacks will be served at the annual meeting. Board members volunteered to obtain the items, as well as bring coolers and ice for the soft drinks and water. Members will be reimbursed with HOA funds.

Danny Larson brought proposed sign possibilities that can be used to alert the community regarding MOA meetings. With a projected cost of approximately $46 for two signs, the board approved Danny to go ahead with getting the signs made so they can be used for the upcoming annual meeting. Danny will be reimbursed with HOA funds.

Meeting adjourned at 8:30pm.
