Crestview Estates HOA meeting minutes – March 22, 2016

Members present: President Roger Branch, Vice President Elizabeth Aguilar, Treasurer Bob McLaughlin, Secretary Tom Vermilye, and ARC member Danny Larson.

Meeting called to order by Roger Branch at 7:10pm.

NOTICE - New PO Box for the HOA – PO Box 3376, Parker, CO 80134 - The previous box number is no longer in use.

Treasurer’s report – Wrote checks of $56.00 for annual PO Box fee and $71.00 to file updated HOA By-Laws with Douglas County.

Meeting Agenda & Discussion –

Xcel has filed their land use paperwork with the Town of Parker and that is the first entity they have approached regarding the proposed power line project. Filings with Douglas County and the City of Aurora will come later.

Roger filed our neighborhood’s petition regarding the proposed power lines with the Town of Parker.

Roger has a tentative appointment with Archer for the survey for the east side of the Crestview subdivision. The Board approved a cost of $700.00 for the survey. This is a proactive step toward identifying the neighborhood boundaries for the proposed fencing project(s) at the end of Pioneer and Pikes Peak Drives.

The Board approved an expense of $100.00 for two additional lights for the Crestview sign on Hilltop Road.

The Board discussed the landscaping project for the perimeter around the Crestview sign on Hilltop Road. Proposed and approved costs of $50.00 for weed block fabric and 6-8 tons of road base at $25.95 a ton were approved by the Board. The proposed design will be railroad ties around the perimeter, filled in with road base and the landscaping lights will be safely secured in the road base.

A general discussion took place regarding the covenants and proposed changes and corrections that will need to be voted on at the annual meeting. Based on this discussion and a review of the covenants, it was decided that Roger would make an appointment with a real estate attorney regarding the legality of changing the neighborhood covenants. Based on the results of the meeting with the attorney, the Board will re-visit the covenant change topic at next month’s meeting.

Neighborhood reminders –

Annual dues of $50.00 per household are due at this time. Please mail your dues to the PO Box listed above, or hand deliver them to a Board member so they can be forwarded to Treasurer Bob McLaughlin.
