CREST VIEW ESTATES HOMEOWNER’S ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ MEETING March 22, 2017 7:00 PM
Board Members present: President Roger Branch, Vice President Elizabeth Aguilar, Treasurer Bob McLaughlin, and Secretary Shawna Fletcher. Architectural Committee Members present: Annette Pelton and Danny Larson Meeting called to order by President, Roger Branch at 7:15pm. Treasure’s Report There have been roughly $2,000 in attorney expenses, leaving a treasury balance of $18,999.06. Annual Meeting The 2017 Crest View Estates Homeowners' Association Annual Meeting (Annual Mtg.) will be Thursday, June 8, 2017, 7:00 pm, at Faith Baptist Church, 11150 Hilltop Road, Parker, CO. HOA Annual Dues It was suggested that the annual dues be raised from $50 to $75 per year. Unexpected attorney costs and potential community border fence costs for the east boundary of the community are cutting into the reserve funds the HOA has in its account. This will be discussed and voted upon at the Annual Mtg. Banking Institution It was recommended that the treasury banking be changed to Public Service Credit Union. The topic was tabled until the April BOD Meeting pending further information regarding the financial standing of the credit union. Community Garage Sale Holding a community garage sale was discussed. This will also be included on the agenda for discussion at the Annual Mtg. Household Chemical Roundup (From the Town of Parker website): Tri-County Health and the Town of Parker will hold a Household Chemical Roundup on Saturday, May 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Parker Joint Services Center(17801 E. Plaza Drive). This event is open to all Douglas County residents; participants are asked to bring proof of residency, such as a driver’s license, and a small fee (TBA) per vehicle to offset the high cost of hazardous waste disposal. To decrease wait time at the event, residents are encouraged to register in advance at www.TCHD.org/250/Home-Chemical-Waste. As a reminder, dumping of any waste into the storm drainage systems is considered an illicit discharge and a Municipal Code violation. Please do your part by disposing of waste properly and protecting the environment. Bridal Trail/Easement Usage Signage 'No Motorized Vehicle' signs have been designed. More information as well as printed samples will be available at the Annual Mtg. Homeowners interested in purchasing signs for their own properties will be will be able to order and post the signs in an effort to deter motorized vehicles from the easements adjacent to their respective properties. Details regarding the sign costs will be made available in the near future. East Community Boundary Fencing Surveys have been completed, stakes marked, and at the April BOD meeting, a decision will be made regarding the size and type of fencing to be erected. Meeting was adjourned at 8:45 pm.
